Original press release:
Cathouse is partnering with Chemistry Creative for Bushwick Open Studios the weekend of October 1 and 2. Together, we are producing a retrospective of Cathouse’s three years in operation in Chemistry's mammoth 315 Ten Eyck space, featuring 17 artists and an evening of musical performance on Saturday night.
Chemistry Creative’s 3500 sq. ft. black box space – replete with adjustable walls, lighting and copious video and audio equipment – is the perfect environment to create a thrilling exhibition of the Cathouse’s past program of artists, along with a few new upstarts.
Represented in this venture will be artists Michael Ashkin, Brad Benischek, Leslie Brack, Andy Cross, Anne Deleporte, David Dixon, Nicola Ginzel, Shadi Harouni, Pete Moran, Gregor Neuerer, Farideh Sakhaeifar, Evan Daniel Smith, Evan Shinners, Timothy Simonds, Daniel Swanigan Snow, Nathan Townes-Anderson and Jeannie Weissglass.
And on Saturday night there will be a very special performance by Bach virtuoso and musical provocateur, W.T.F. Bach.
